Acting like conflict doesn't exist does not make it go away.

No matter how loving a family is, all families go through some level of conflict. When it shows up, family conflict, in particular, can seem overwhelming. Emotions are typically highly charged and all parties may not be thinking rationally. Many times, decisions in the midst of conflict are primarily self-serving. That may sound mean-spirited; however, it is a realistic response as people are in protection mode. That is why proper planning as well as having an effective approach to addressing conflict resolution can make all the difference in the world.
